Coat: Nordstrom. Boots: Sorel (kids. adults here.) Sweater: Banana Republic. Jeans: Madewell. Hat: Target. (similar.)
This month we are focusing on ideas for making January awesome instead of what it usually is, the most depressing month of the year…
One of my favorite things to do to beat the winter blues, is head up to the slopes and go skiing! Our favorite place to ski close to Seattle, is the Summit at Snoqualmie pass. I love that we can be up there and skiing in 45 minutes. How can you beat that?
Skiing is totally my husband’s love language, so as you can imagine, it’s one of our family’s favorite wintertime activities. Craig’s working really hard with the older kids this year, so we’ve spent a lot of time up on the slopes this season. I can’t say that I mind at all. And I can’t believe how fast kids pick up and get good at things… I wish.
I love the whole atmosphere around skiing, even sitting in the lodge drinking hot cocoa with Ava and riding the tiny bunny hills is fun…
I’m loving this coat I picked up this year because it’s not super bulky (which is great for when I want to be more nimble for skiing and wrestling Ava) but it’s still so, so warm. I’m getting tons of use out of it and my Sorels this year and both are such great investment pieces.
Also, it’s my cute momma’s birthday today!
Happy Birthday Mom!
Such a cute look<3
