Don’t you just love a fun quirky tee?  I am such a sucker for quirky tees.  I promise you if I’m in a store and they have a clever tee/sweatshirt that also happens to be drapey and soft, with a good fit, you can pretty much bet I’ll buy it.  Like this fun sequin owl tee for instance.  I saw it and, goner.  I love pairing quirky tees with my boyfriend jeans and sneakers (they’re perfect for summer), but I also love mixing it up and throwing them on with a full skirt or a pair of great trousers like these shimmery gray ones.  I think it’s a fun juxtaposition to pair up casual with dressy.

But before I run away with my feelings on contrasted pairings, let me just say that you should stop what you are doing right now, because the J.Crew Factory sale event at NordstromRack/HauteLook just started.  As in, right now this minute.

If you read this blog, you know I’m rather devoted to J.Crew Factory as well as Nordstrom/NordstromRack/HauteLook, and when you mix all of these together for the day, well that’s just plain serendipity.

I’m a huge HauteLook fan and I’ve been a NordstromRack shopper since high school when I used my carefully earned Saturday job money to buy myself doc marten boots and lots of flannel (it was the ’90’s).  Every penny counted, and I could always make it count so much more at the Rack.

Now that I’m married with four kids and have a household to run, clothe, and feed; I’ve found that making pennies count is just as important to me, and I really appreciate putting those pennies towards quality pieces, which is what I find at both HauteLook/NordstromRack and J.Crew Factory.  Plus both stores carry great pieces for myself, my kids, and even my husband (who admittedly loathes shopping…)

One of my favorite things about HauteLook is that it features a new flash sale event every morning at 8am PST with the best names in fashion at up to 75% off.  Seriously, I snagged a killer pair of Hudson’s awhile back for over 50% off.

I’m registered for their emails, so every morning I get an update letting me know what brand they’re featuring that day.  Super convenient, because if it’s something I’ve been stalking, like Hudson jeans, I can jump right on and snag a great deal. Plus shipping is free when you spend over $100.

The 3-day J.Crew Factory event starts this morning 2/18 and goes through Sunday morning 2/21 and includes pieces for you, your kiddos and your Mr.
