Peplum Sweater. Jeans. Bag. Shoes. Sunglasses.
I read a quote several years ago that I really loved. Something about how there’s never enough time in the day for all the sights you want to see, people you want to meet, books you want to read, things you want to think, etc.
I sure love that.
Every time I travel somewhere new and meet new people I feel that way. That if I spent my whole life traveling I’d never be able to see and do it all. I love how vast and diverse our world is. Even just within the U.S.
Last week I went to Dallas for the first time. And while I loved exploring that gorgeous city and seeing Texas for the first time, I think my favorite part was all the people I met and got to know better. People from all over with interesting things to say, and fascinating stories to tell.
It makes me feel small and big all at the same time. I think that’s what I love about getting out of my element, out of my everyday routine. It also gets me out of myself, out of my own head. It reminds me how much more there is happening in the world, how much there is to discover, even just in other people.
How poetic for a Friday…
I wore this on my second day at the RewardStyle conference. I knew I couldn’t get through the weekend without wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans, because that’s who I am. I love my boyfriend jeans and this might be one of the greatest pairs I’ve ever snagged. I wore them all day in Disneyland yesterday and they are so, so comfortable. That’s what I love about a good pair of boyfriend jeans. You can dress them up with a pretty peplum sweater and fancy flats or heels and they work great for a blogging conference where everyone (and I mean everyone) is dressed to the nines. But you can still throw them on with a striped t-shirt and your espadrilles and they are the cat’s meow in a theme park. They’re magic jeans I tell you… magic.
Cute:)
