I always come up blank when the weather goes from cold to warm suddenly, as it often does during spring in the Pacific Northwest. Last week it was cold and rainy half the time and today, we’re forecasted in the mid-80’s with lots of sunshine. I’m not a huge fan of shorts, so I usually turn to dresses when this weather pops up, and I love a good comfy knit t-shirt dress for a busy week day, because it’s casual and keeps me cool, but I still feel put together. When it’s warm out, how to style a t-shirt dress can be a tricky business because the last thing I feel like doing is adding layers.
I usually fall back on my second favorite thing (after layers) for putting an outfit together: accessories. In the summer, that usually involves cute sandals, sneakers or espadrilles, big sunglasses (Kate Spade are my favorites), a light jacket tied around the waist (for when it gets cooler in the evening) and a hat (I’m completely obsessed with boater hats right now…)
I hope you have a lovely Monday! Ava and I are playing hooky for a few hours and heading to the beach for a picnic with friends… make sure and follow along on snapchat. (I’m dresscorilynn over there. ;-)
Nothing like a sunny day in Seattle…
Lovely outfit!
