Hey guys, sorry for the radio silence for the last week. Moving kind of kicked the life right out of me, and once we all arrived in Connecticut I immediately fell into a post-stress coma and just emerged really yesterday…
I am happy to say that I managed to get me and my four kids across the country in one piece, despite the fact that Ava started the trip with a bad cough, and they were all running a fever by the time we landed. Poor things, they were such troopers. They didn’t even complain. Oh the universe’s timing is impeccable, is it not? All I could think the entire flight was, I am that mom, who’s kids infected an entire airplane. And also, “cough into your elbow please,” and “here’s some more hand sanitizer…”
Luckily, I married one of those very sweet humans, who met me at the airport car waiting a whisked us back to the very nice hotel that we are staying at until we close on our farm later this month. Then he proceeded to take care of sick children all day on Sunday while I basically passed out every time I stopped moving. I’m so glad we are all together again. So, so glad. It’s really an understatement.
So, I don’t know about you, but right about the end of January I really truly start craving spring. Spring is all about a fresh start, and since me and my family just made a fresh start in a new place, I’m extra excited about spring this year…
It’s actually still pretty chilly on the east coast (or maybe Seattle has just made me weak), but that doesn’t mean I’m not dreaming of spring.
I love spring styles because they are fresh and a nice change from the heavy winter layers. This top is my favorite thing I bought last summer (I have it in both colors) and (yay) it’s still in stock in every size! Boyfriend jeans are always my go-to, especially in the summer months because they look great with wedges. I bought this pair in black last year, and this year I’m definitely adding a second in a brown tone because they are amazing.
What are you excited to add to your closet for the warmer months?
Welcome to Connecticut! I can’t wait to see all the places you discover since I’m a CT native and I’m always looking for new things to check out. Happy settling in and I wish your kids a speedy recovery.
Welcome to the East Coast! You have plenty of winter left, but I’m craving spring too. I just bought a similar version of those wedges on Saturday. I can’t wait to wear them! Hope everyone is feeling better soon.
Oh no! Fevers?! Poor kids. I guess all the kids gave it to each other the night you were at Em’s! They got it too.. And, Brooks and I. Glad you’re there, safe, and coming out of your coma! Happy your sweet family is reunited. Love you guys. Miss you already!
