Top. Jeans. Shoes. Bag. Similar Jacket. Necklace. Sunglasses. Ring.
Don’t be fooled by the snow still on the ground behind me, it wants to be spring in New England. It’s getting warmer everyday, and that white stuff is disappearing more and more by the hour. Spring is one of my favorite times of year to get dressed, because it’s like everything is waking up, including my wardrobe. It all feels fresh and new. Crisp patterns, light layers, soft colors. Gimme it all
There are some really great trends for the season this year and so today I thought it would be fun to share 3 spring trend you need to try.
(and I promise anyone can pull them off.)
Bell Sleeves.
Okay, as I said in my post a couple days ago, I wasn’t much of a bell sleeves fan for awhile, but it turns out I love them. Especially since they come in a bunch of different lengths and bell fullness. Not feeling the 70’s exaggerated bell thing? No worries! There are tons of pretty styles in a half sleeve length, and some are very low-key in the bell fullness department. The great thing about a bell sleeve top is that it makes a statement without needing a lot of extra layers, which is ideal this time of year as it warms up. Just throw it on with a pair of skinnies and you’re ready to go. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites below.
Slide Mules.
Oh my goodness you guys. Where has this shoe style been all my life? You know how much I love me some good flats and these are like a chic, formal but relaxed take on them. I legitimately wore old school penny loafers to class every day of 5th grade (of my own choosing) so my preppy little ten-year-old self is swooning over all the loafer slides out there this season. I’m more than a little obsessed with the knot detail on these blush loafers I just got. And they are so, so comfortable right out of the box. I’m definitely going to add the black version to my closet as well. Here are some more amazing mules out there right now.
Stripes.
I know this feels like a duh, Cori. Stripes are in every spring (and they are) but they are really in this spring! And not just classic breton stripes! Big bold stripes and pinstripes and vertical stripes! It sounds crazy but I still get messages from ladies saying they “can’t wear stripes” because they’re too -{insert: short, tall, heavy, slim etc etc..} Guys, everyone can wear stripes! Just find the right piece/cut for your shape, and I promise you will love them. Try pairing them with florals this spring. Stripes are like one of those neutral prints, you can use them as a base for so. many. looks. My favorite striped pieces this season below. (some of them are very inexpensive.)
So there you have it! 3 spring trends you need to try. What are some trends you’ve been wanting to try this season?
Totally need more stripes in my wardrobe!

That’s how I felt about bell sleeves at first. Now, I wear them all that time haha! Love your top. The combination of the stripes, bell sleeves and bow details are just perfect!
