out and about in stripes and sneakers.

Hey everyone!  Happy Cinco de Mayo!

We’ve had some seriously gorgeous weather here in New England this week, everything is turning green and it’s so pretty.  As soon as it becomes spring, my impulse to wear stripes (which you may know is already quite high) basically doubles.  I love a great striped dress and the other day I paired this one with my favorite new sneakers for a day out exploring a local historic opera house. (So pretty) I feel like it took me awhile to figure out how to wear sneakers with a dress, but now it’s one of my favorite looks for a day out and about.  A little more fun than just a pair of jeans.

Now let’s talk about these adidas cloud forms for a minute, because I am obsessed.  I got them in March, but I haven’t really blogged about them yet.  Cause I really wanted to see if they were as good as all the fuss.  You guys.  These are the most comfortable sneakers I have literally ever worn.  The soles literally feel like you’re walking on clouds, and I mean all day walking around Manhattan and my feet were still happy.  I am also obsessed with the gold stripes.  They’re kind of a matte gold and it’s so chic.  Every time I wear them out someone stops me about them.  I do find they run a little smaller than other adidas shoes.  I had to size down half a size on my other adidas sneakers but I think this pair is definitely more true to size, me regular size is perfect.

Speaking of perfect, this Brixton hat you guys.  I was looking for a natural color wider brim Panama hat for summer, that also didn’t make me look like a beach cowgirl (trickier than you might think), and this one is so perfect.  The quality is great and I love that it comes in a several sizes.  I think it sells out fairly often just FYI.  Also back in stock is my pretty blush bomber is back in stock in a few sizes.  I’m so glad I snagged it earlier last month.  It’s the best spring jacket.

This has been such a crazy busy week with blog work, kids, house projects and our now very much blooming yard.  I feel like I haven’t stopped all week, plus I’m feeling the start of a sore throat coming on.  I’m really hoping it’s allergies and not a cold… and am definitely looking forward to the weekend, to spend some quality time with my family, get caught up on work and house stuff and just relax a little.  I have some really fun projects coming up this month, and I can’t wait to share them with you.  We’ve also been working on finishing our mini-family room revamp, and it’s looking so good.  I’m so excited to show you guys when it’s a little more done.

Happy Friday everyone!  Make sure and come back tomorrow for my weekend edit!

Cute outfit! One question: How do you keep your button down shirt from bulking up under that dress?

I sized up one size on the dress! It gives it a more relaxed vibe and also makes it easier for the shirt to lay flat throughout the day and not get that bunched up look! Hope this helps!
