tuesday try-on: H&M (& kids too!)

So I thought I would start a new series over here called Tuesday try-ons.  My dressing room try-on posts are some of your favorites, so I thought it would be fun and helpful if every Tuesday I share a dressing room try-on from a different store.  (Let me know in the comments if there’s a store you’d like me to feature!)

First up today is H&M, and I have a special surprise!  I’m going to feature some great pieces for kids too, and I’ve got the cutest little model to show them to you. ;-)

H&M is one of my favorite stores to shop at.  The trends are always up to speed and super cute, the prices are bananas and I always find beautiful pieces.  It’s also one of my favorite places to find great clothes for my kids, husband and also some pretty and unique pieces for my home… But more on that later.

First up my try-ons and a few of my favorites:

pink eyelash sweater.

I love this whispy sweater so much.  It’s gorgeous and so so soft.  Perfect piece to transition from winter to spring.

I love a good Breton striped tee and this one has perfect dropped shoulders and a nice loose fit.

Another striped top, because it’s me.  I haven’t been able to find this one online :-( but it might be worth a trip in-store to find, it’s so dang soft. More great striped tops here.

I wanted to love this shirt, I really did with its blush stripes, but I felt like I looked like I was borrowing my mom’s shirt from 1985.  Not a good look for someone as petite as me. ;-)

I am completely in love with eyelet right now, and I love this pretty white top.  It’s sold out online, but it’s still available in some stores and here’s a great alternative.

These overalls, I actually didn’t have high hopes for but I am obsessed with them.  They are the best boyfriend fit and actually really petite friendly. (I’m wearing a size 4 here.) White shirt here.

Speaking of eyelet, how cute is this sweatshirt?  I can’t decide which color I love more, white or blush!

More spring favorites from H&M:

Now on to kid’s favorites!  Ava was very excited/nervous to model a few of her favorites for you guys.  I love H&M for kid’s clothes because they have some seriously cute stuff at some insane prices.  That’s really helpful when you’re buying for four kids.

For example:  This cute navy and white striped dress that’s so versatile for spring and summer is only $9.99.

These cutie little overalls are only $29.99, and Ava was so excited to bring these home. (Could you die over her little pose?)

And then there’s this super cute little-striped ruffle top that’s completely precious and some fun skinny jeans.

More H&M Kid’s favorites for every age:

For little girls: rose gold sandals. Flower sandals. Ballet flats. Overalls. yellow raincoat. pink coat. ruffle tie shirt. black eyelet shirt. black eyelet skirt. coral ruffle sleeve shirt. distressed skinny jeans. overall skirt. pink and white tulle dress. lace blouse. pink cropped pants. white embellished shirt. coral polka dot swimsuit. blue ruffle swimsuit.

For the Tween Girl: Black Jumpsuit. Yellow and white tee. Bell sleeve top. Gingham Dress. Embroidered Dress. Polka dot sleeveless dress. Brown Sandals. Sleeveless tie top. White peplum tee. Black jeans. Rose gold sandals.

So… the overalls. I am wondering if I should order my normal size? I am not familiar with H&M sizing either, so are they considered to be TTS. Thanks!!! And it goes without saying, BUT, she is the Sweetest model ever!! I love her pose in the overalls. She looks so proud. Too cute!

  3. H&M is my favorite place to get clothes for me kids! Mostly because I find that a lot of parents don’t shop there, so my kids aren’t wearing the same Target shirt as five other kids in their class, but I also love that their girl clothes are really accommodating for my daughter who is super tall and skinny! Also, they get the award for the softest kids jeans!
