On Saturday Hannah and I were up on the CCSU campus for the state National History Day competition.  (She won 1st place by the way and it was amazing!). The campus was so pretty and the weather was perfect, it felt like spring for real for the first time.  It was glorious.

One of my favorite spring combinations is white denim with a chambray top, there are so many different ways you can style this easy combination and you can change up the look a ton, just by switching up the style of the items or the accessories.

I’ve been looking for a great pair of white girlfriend jeans forever and I finally found a pair that I love!  I love the distressing on these ones, they’re super comfy, not see through at all, and a great price.  Also, they come in short and are super petite friendly.  I think a girlfriend cut on white jeans is also just a little fun and surprising, kind of mixes it up a little.  It’s also a good way to go if you’re not ready to try white denim in a skinny fit.

I fell in love with this chambray top when I spotted it, and I love the ruffle sleeves and button detail.  It’s super lightweight and perfect for summer.  I will say, the front is open so I paired mine with a navy cami, but it would be cute with a bralette too.

What I love most is that each of these items are great capsule pieces, with endless options for styling them through the warm seasons.  I’ve said this a million times, but I like my clothes to earn a place in my closet, and they do that by being versatile and making me feel great.
