instagram lately, and liketoknow.it looks.

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone!  I thought I would give you a little life update today and share what’s been happening over on instagram.  So we are finally into some seriously perfect spring weather in New England, and everyone’s mood has improved as a result.  I planted my window box flowers last week and bought a new hanging pot full of flowers and they’re both making the house look so beautiful.  I asked for hydrangea bushes for Mother’s Day because I’m a wannabe plant lady, and I am so excited to plant them by our front door.  My kiddos also surprised me with a beautiful copper watering can.  I love it so much.

Craig has been busily building our chicken coop for the last few weeks and it’s getting close to being done.  It looks so, so cool you guys, and I can’t wait to show it to you.  It’s also going to be a veritable Fort Knox for the chickens which is a good thing because on Saturday afternoon we saw another fox stalking around our property.  (That’s the second this season.)  I’m also very happy to be getting the chickens out of the barn so we can start getting it cleaned up and ready for a horse, which we’re planning to get this fall after we get back from all our travel this summer.

I shared this over on instagram, but Hannah won 1st place in her NHD state competition, which means the two of us are heading to D.C. in June for her to compete in Nationals!  I am so excited to take a one-on-one trip with my girl, and I’m so proud of her for just always doing her best, and being an 8th grade rock star.

I’ve been preparing my summer content calendar, and I would love to know what you would like to see more of?  More farmhouse updates and decor, travel tips with kids, how to get your kids to read, etc?  Let me know in the comments what you would like to see more of!

In addition to what’s been happening over on instagram, I’m going to start sharing some of the looks I post exclusively on the Liketoknow.it app.  If you haven’t done so, you can follow me over there for some fun extra content. ;-)  Just go to your App Store, search liketoknow.it and then search for my handle @dresscorilynn

That is so amazing of Hannah! Congrats to her! And I’d like to see more farmhouse decor and summer outfits. Also, I love those Madewell sandals. What did you think of them? Are they comfortable?

I love your “farmhouse.” We used to live in Collinsville CT (not too far from you if you go to Avon for haircut) and lived in a center chimney colonial home that looks very similar to yours. It is on the corner of Rt 179 and Simonds Avenue if you are in the area. I miss living in that area of the country and love hearing about your home and fashion style. Thank you.
