leopard print: the spring trend you should definitely try this season.

leopard skirt. (also similar here.) top. denim jacket. booties. similar bag.

I feel like I haven’t done an outfit post in forever, so I thought I would show you guys what I wore to church yesterday, mostly because I am completely smitten with my new leopard print skirt.

This is not new, by any means, but leopard print is going to be huge again this spring.  Like, really big.  This trend has become so ubiquitous, it’s basically considered a neutral by now, and for good reason, it is seriously versatile!  This amazing print is staying strong right into spring and summer and here’s why I’m super happy about that…

1.You can go big or small with your leopard, and either way, it elevates your outfit.  Not ready to commit to a leopard print skirt?  No problem!  Throw on a belt or a scarf and add a fun pop to your outfit.  Not quite brave enough to rock the leopard print booties, try a pair of LP loafers.

2. Like I said,  leopard is super versatile, and it works so well as a neutral print.  It can be styled with a variety of colors and even prints like striped and polka dots look super cool (when paired well) with leopard print.

3. It’s a classic.  Unlike other trends that might come in and go out quickly, leopard print is pretty much here to stay at this point.  It’s almost made it’s way into the ranks of striped and spots in terms a classic prints, which is great news.  The longevity of any piece of leopard print makes it a worthy closet investment, which you know I’m a huge advocate of, and so anything leopard print (provided it fits your style) is a great option for adding some pop to your capsule.

4. It’s just fun to wear.  Period.  If you haven’t got any leopard print in your arsenal, try adding a little to your closet.  Even a simple pair of leopard print should can become a fast, fun favorite.

Here are a few more of my favorite leopard print pieces to add to your closet right now:

I love animal print, I used to hate it haha I definitely think it became a neutral over this past season, even though it’s such a bold pattern, it’s easy to style with basics and neutrals and it allows people to get creative and add colour and other patterns.

I was the same way, I could never get on board and then I started realizing there were really classy ways to incorporate the print into different looks that would elevate them. Mind blown! It is such a fun way to get creative with colors and pallets.
