Summer has officially started at the Robinson farm and I am SO HAPPY to have my kids home with me for 2.5 uninterrupted months. We’ve implemented our summer schedule this morning and it feels so good to be setting up for a slower pace. I’ve switched back to a big mom bag for the summer months (just picked up this one and I am obsessed with it), and I have a feeling I’ll be living in these amazing petite friendly mom jeans all summer long. This is my #legitmomstyle and I am so at home here.
I used to feel like I had to be kind of fancy to make it in the style business. But that’s not true and it’s not me. I love dresses and getting dolled up for special occasions, but day to day, I love to be casual. Casual jeans, casual dresses, flats and flip-flops, simple classic pieces I can mix and remix over and over again, in fun creative ways. Because I’ve come to realize that casual doesn’t mean sloppy; you can still look and feel put together, flatter your figure, be creative with getting dressed and feel like a rockstar in your clothes.
If you are feeling like you’re stuck in a wardrobe funk this summer, or you just want some tips for making getting dressed more fun, and feeling like a diva in your clothes and in your own skin, I am teaching a free online style class this Friday at 12pm EDT. I’m going to be sharing some fun nuggets, and secrets I use to feel good everyday, plus some tips for creating an arsenal of momiforms. (This works whether or not you’re a mom, FYI.). It’s going to be super fun! You can sign up for it here.
