Scenes from my sister’s wedding.

Lots of you know I was out of town all of last week in Utah for my older sister’s wedding.  I thought it would be fun to share some scenes from the wedding.  It was a perfect day start to finish and such a beautiful night.  I couldn’t be happier for my sweet sister and her amazing new husband.

They had their wedding at a beautiful park right at the foot of the mountains in Cache Valley, Utah.  Her dress was this amazing vintage style lace with an eyelash hem, and she had her hair done in a soft chignon.  The flower girls (my sister’s daughter and her husband’s daughter) wore the sweetest little off-white lace and tulle dresses with flower crowns, it was precious.

They didn’t have bridesmaids or groomsmen, so all the family members wore dresses and suits in their wedding colors, soft pinks, deep berry, and navy blue, it actually turned out really pretty.  I wore my Gal Meets Glam dress that I featured earlier this spring.  (Julia designs the best dresses for weddings, I highly recommend if you’re looking for something beautiful, classic and romantic.)

The day before the wedding we put together all the flowers for the tables and they turned out really beautiful (if I do say so myself), a mix of greens and lots of summer berry color florals with white roses and hydrangeas in the arrangements.

They had a Mexican street taco bar (seriously so good), chips and guac, and Aggie ice cream (from Utah state where they both graduated).  It was such fun wedding food and fit them so well.

My sister had coloring stations and corn hole set up for the kids to play, so smart. (She’s a special ed teacher and literally thinks of everything.)

The whole evening felt like it had a golden glow on it; it was warm but not hot, there was a slight breeze and everything was magic.  The best part was getting to see my beautiful sister marry the man of her dreams.  It was a long road to find him, and my whole family is so, so happy for them both.

Dreams do come true.

yes we are! Our baby sister lives in a different state and wasn’t able to get work off to be there. We also have a brother (but he was getting grumpy about pictures!;-)
