You know, I spent a lot of my life feeling really self conscious in a swimsuit. It’s rather silly now that I think about it, because I am literally never judging anyone else’s body at the beach, and yet I’ve always been worried about other people’s opinions of mine. But you know what I realized in the last few years? They’re most likely not even thinking about me, and even if they are judging the fact that my chest is flat, I have short legs, wide ribs and muscular arms (literally all the things I’ve always been self conscious about) who cares? WHO. ACTUALLY. CARES?
It’s such a cliche nowadays to say this, but the only thing you really need to get a “Swimsuit body” is to put on a swimsuit.
That’s it.
Now, I am all for being in good shape, but from a place of love and care for our body and not because we don’t accept our want to change our bodies. And I am ALL ABOUT finding a swimsuit that makes you feel like a million bucks, flatters your unique shape and works so you can have a blast in the water with your kids. Because that is what a day at the beach is all about. Making memories with the people you love, not worrying about how you look in your swimsuit.
And in that spirit, here are 10 awesome mom friendly swimsuits, that provide good coverage for getting down in the sand with your littles and will still make you feel super cute.
A few tips: if you’ve got a softer middle, try the ruched or peplum styles. For my fellow-flat-chested ladies, consider a style with some ruffles on the bust area to add a little volume there. Pretty much all of these suits have good chest and buns coverage, so you’re good to go there! And, for a little extra dose of confidence try using a good self tanner the day before you hit the beach. That little bit of bronze just packs a big punch for the confidence levels.

It’s so true! No one cares and if they do they shouldn’t!! I’m also extremely flat chested and it bothers me so much but no one else cares. Even my husband doesn’t seem to mind THAT much. I would much rather someone be kind and nice and fun to be with then ‘look good’. Character is so
