Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try-Ons

Happy Friday everyone!  Today is the day!  Early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale has begun, and I am oh, so excited to share the all of the amazing pieces I found and styled in store for you guys!  As I said, this year I am really focusing on great versatile capsule pieces.  Pieces I know you will love and wear over and over again, through the fall/winter season and there are even a few great pieces you can style right now, during the summer.  A lot of the items I am featuring, you’ll notice I style more than one, many of them I style several times.  I really wanted you to see how versatile a lot of these pieces are (especially the denim and shoes.). This is the time to save big on those wardrobe workhorses like jeans and shoes!

These Madewell skinny jeans are literally the best, most flattering black jeans I have ever put on in my life.  I swear I looked 10 pounds lighter the second I put them on.  I’m wearing a size 25 fit is TTS. I was really excited to see that there are a few pumpkin colored turtleneck sweaters in this year’s sale. This one is awesome, super soft, and a total steal. I’m wearing the XS fits roomy.

I love this Free People pumpkin sweater, it’s usually $148 but it’s on sale for $98. I love the sleeves and collar and how soft it is. It is a tunic length, so it’s a little longer than the first sweater. I’m wearing the XS, runs roomy. These Madewell slides are also amazing, they are great quality and they are so comfortable. These are just the greatest capsule shoes, they go with everything. They are on sale for $55 and are normally $88. And I’m wearing a size 6. I brought these home with me the other day.

These Kut from the Kloth jeans are a decent fit but at the bottom is not my favorite, they’re a little too roomy down there. I’m wearing a oP, again the fit’s okay on top  but is a little loose at the bottom. This Treasure and Bond sweater is on sale for $49.90 and it’s normally an $80 sweater. It’s a great heathered charcoal sweater. I’m wearing an XS, runs true to size. With these Steve Madden OTK boots, these do have a good size heel (so not great for walking all day) but they are really pretty and there’s an elastic in the back so they stay up really nicely. I’m wearing a 5.5, true to size.

I love this taupey color on this Topshop sweater, this is definitely an oversized fit, I’m wearing a 0-2. I like the slit in the side, this is just a great fall capsule piece.

This gorgeous, heathered navy Madewell sweater is so soft. I’d probably tack it up a bit (cause I’m short) but it’s honestly not that low. I’m wearing an XS and I like the fit. These are the BP booties which run big. This is a 5.5 but I definitely felt like I needed a 5.  If you order these go down half a size. These have a heel but they are pretty comfortable.

These boyfriend jeans are so good. I’m obsessed with the fit, I’m wearing a 25 and they are just perfect. Usually, these are $225 and they are $150, so they are going to sell out fast. This Madewell sweater is so cute I love all the colors. I’m wearing an XS and the fit is good.  These sell out at lightning speed so hurry if you want one!

This is the other color option in the Madewell colorblock sweater and is super cute. I’m wearing the XS again and I love the fit. This is something I would totally wear all fall.

I’m obsessed with this sweater, I love this leopard print.  I was actually so surprised by how great the quality is! The fit is also good and is true to size, I’m wearing the XS.

I’m not normally a color person, but I love this sweater it’s super cute. It’s on sale for $45 and I’m wearing the XS, great fit. This is a really fun sweater that you can wear it a lot of different ways all fall and winter.

These are the best, most petite-friendly camo pants I’ve ever worn. I didn’t even have to roll them under! They are so comfortable, the fit is amazing, I’m wearing a 0P.  They are really flattering and I love these front pockets.

I love this set so much, this skirt is so amazing, super flattering and fits like a dream.  I’m wearing an XXSP, so it fits me perfectly. I paired it with this fun matching top, in an XS, with a good fit. There are so many different ways to style these pieces, especially because they can be mix and matched with other items in your closet.

This dress is another leopard option, this one is super cute. It does run small, this is a size 2, it has a tie-waist and some great pockets in the side!  It’s also bump-friendly!

I’m so happy with this dress, it’s an amazing fall dress and the hem is lovely. The fabric is beautiful and flowy.  I’m wearing a 0, and I love the fit. It’s also really petite friendly.  Love how it looks with boots!

Let’s just call this the year of the leopard, shall we?  This is an amazing Bernardo coat, I like the length and how striking the coat is. The sleeves are a little long and the shoulders are a little big, I’m wearing an XS here, but it’s such a pretty and fun leopard coat.

I really like this Sam Edelman puffer coat, I love the shiny sheen on it and I love the hood which you can leave on or take off, which is nice. It’s another petite friendly item, I’m wearing the XS, which I can definitely make work.

This is a really beautiful trench coat, I love the quality, the cut, and the color. I’m wearing an XS, it’s a little big on me but I think if you are a little taller it would totally work.  Great capsule piece!

Love this pretty coat for fall and milder winters.  I’m wearing a Small because that’s all they had in store, so it’s a little big, but an XS would be a better fit.  this would be an easy alteration because it’s unlined, but this also makes it not the best “deep winter” coat.

This North Face rain jacket I really  love, the gray color is nice and versatile and the hood is good.  It’s really lightweight, I’m wearing an XS and it’s a little big on me, but if you are taller I doubt there will be any issues.  (coats are always a hart fit for me.)

This drapey BB Dakota suede jacket isn’t my favorite but it’s pretty, I love these fitted sleeves.  And it’s not uncomfortable at all, I really like how it drapes in the front.  I’m wearing an XS and it fits true to size.

This cute leopard blanket scarf is a great accessory for fall.  And this jacket! It’s a little cropped and fitted and really lightweight.  Probably my favorite leather jacket of the sale.

I love this pink leather jacket, this one is super lightweight. It runs a little bigger than the previous jacket, but I love the style and the fit is really great on the arms. I’m wearing the XS, fits true to size.

I live for nike running shorts.  These are the best, they have the built-in underwear, and are so breezy and comfortable.  Perfect for working out in the summer.  Wearing the XS, fits TTS.  Speaking of fit, can we talk about the perfect fit of this nike hoodie?!  It’s super soft too.  Wearing XS, fits TTS.

I get a new pair of athletic shoes every year during the sale (hurry cause they all sell out so fast!) and this Adidas pair is this year’s choice.  I love the built in tongue, it makes them extra comfy for working out.

I’m honestly not sure how I feel about the bike shorts trend, but if you are in the market, this is a fabulous pair.  They are ribbed and really comfortable.  I’m in the Small because they didn’t have any XS in store, but I don’t know that I would have sized down.   I mostly grabbed this Adidas tee so I’d have something to try-on while I show you all the workout bottoms.  It’s just okay.  There’s nothing wrong with it, but I wouldn’t rush and grab it. Okay, I am not a girl who enjoys showing up in a sports bra, but I had to show you this nike one because it is SO SMALL CHEST friendly.  Plus it’s cute!  I’m wearing the XS.

These Zella leggings are one of my favorite pieces from the whole sale.  They are so flattering, compressive, comfortable and the length and taper is PERFECT for petite ladies!

This camo sweatshirt is insanely soft.  Not technically for working out, but that’s how it felt more like rouge/athletic wear to me so there you go.  Wearing the XS. Runs TTS.

I really wanted to love this Wubby pullover, but honestly they run so big, it was soft but not THAT soft, and it started shedding all over before I even left the dressing room.  Plus I just know its going to turn scratchy within the first two washes.  I know these were all the rage last year, but it’s a pass for me.  wearing XS. Love these Zella leggings in the green dot pattern, I’m usually a black only girl when it comes to leggings, but I would make an exception for these! Wear XS fits TTS.

There are not enough exclamation points for how much I love these pajamas!!!! If you haven’t snagged a pair of these, you need to!  They are literally the softest, comfiest pajamas I have ever worn.  I am obsessed with them. wearing the XXS. Fits like a dream.  These ugg slippers are everything you think they’ll be, like walking on a cloud.  Fit is really great, they come in whole sizes only so I went up to a 6 and it’s perfect.

Okay, can we just talk about this barefoot dreams cardigan?  Looks like a cardigan, feels like the softest blanket/robe of your life.  Wearing the XS/S fits perfect. Love these BP pajamas, they are so silky and comfy.  I’m wearing the XS, runs roomy as pajamas do.  This henley is the softest most flattering lounge wear top I’ve ever put on.  I would totally wear it as a regular top. wearing an XS. These madewell pajamas are the cutest set ever.  Obviously long on me, but that’s pretty typical of pajamas and they are so soft.  Wearing the XXS, fits TTS. Love this Barefoot dreams cardigan, soft as a robe still cute enough to wear out and about, and you’ll be curling up by the fire all season with this one. Wearing the XS, fits TTS.
