Today I’m sharing about switching to summer linens for the first time, and how much I love it.
When we lived in more moderate climates there wasn’t much of a need to switch our sheets around when the seasons changed, but I started using flannel sheets during our first winter in New England and it made the winter so much more enjoyable. Since then, the only change I’ve made to our bedding has been to switch back and forth between our winter and summer sheets. This year I decided I’d like to completely change out our bedroom linens during the warmer months and I am so glad I did.
I got this beautiful natural striped linen duvet cover and matching pillow cases from Magic Linen and I am so happy with them. The quality it impeccable, the linen is beautiful and I love the subtle texture it adds to the room. It’s funny how much a room can feel refreshed just by doing something simple like switching to summer linens. I was worried that switching to a linen duvet might feel itchy or less comfortable than the cotton one we use during the rest of the year, but the opposite was true. Magic linen uses the highest quality stone washed linen so it’s actually super soft. It also keeps us much cooler than our cotton duvet we use the rest of the year, which is really nice since it is hot and humid in New England all summer. And overall, I just enjoy how it’s freshened up our space and made everything feel brighter. It’s a quick simple way to change up and refresh a space.
Do you switch to summer linens during the warmer months?
I do switch to cotton sheets in the warmer months and a polyester plush sheets during the cooler months. Your master bedroom looks lovely.
