daily looks, and what we’ve been up to.

Hey Everyone!  And happy Monday!

It’s been a bit since I jumped on here, and I wanted to check in and see how you are doing after a couple crazy weeks in the world.  I hope you are doing well and not too anxious.  2020 has definitely given us all a run for our money, but we are trying to remain cheerful and optimistic.

What we’ve been up to over at the Robinson house for the last few weeks:

We’ve been spending most of our spare time over the last 3 weeks, planting our garden and building a new fence around it.  We 10x the size of our garden this year, a massive undertaking and so a new, and much larger fence needed to be built.  Dozens of post holes had to be dug, cemented and set and we’ve been attaching wire around them to keep the plants protected.  A necessity in a place like Connecticut where there are tons of deer and rabbits who would love to snack on our freshly planted veggies.  The cross pieces on the fence will probably go up in the next month or so, but I told Craig I need a break from fence building for a bit, since it has consumed our life for most of May.

My kids will be finishing up their school mid-next week and we are all SO READY to be done with distance learning.  Thus far, we don’t have any travel plans for the summer, since everything seems to be at least partly shut down still.  I’m a little bummed that we won’t be able to do the Scandinavia trip we were hoping to do this summer, but all in good time.  We might try and so something this fall, but like most of you I am sure, we are playing it by ear and seeing how everything develops.  If I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that you’ve got to be flexible with life.

My husband has started is partial furlough, which has definitely been interesting.  The airplane industry has been hit extremely hard by the pandemic and we are just grateful that he still has a job.  I’m also so grateful for all of you who read this blog.  You make it possible for me to help support my family during this crazy time and I am so grateful for all of you.  Thank you!

I have some fun announcements on my shop So Provincial coming later this week, and I cannot wait to share it with you, so stay tuned!

And speaking of later this week, I’ve got a bunch of fun content coming as well, including a curly hair tutorial from my sweet Hannah, a super quick yummy/healthy snack recipe, and a few other fun things.

I’m excited to be back on here creating for you all.
