madewell insiders event: capsule picks.

turtleneck. sweater. jeans. boots. (all up to 25% off)

Guys, it’s that time again… the Madewell insider event is on. It is no secret, (truly) no secret that Madewell is my favorite brand. Probably 80% of my wardrobe is from Madewell (maybe even more), and it’s really no wonder, because the brand has cracked the code on creating rock solid capsule pieces.

Since I started shifting to a much more intentional approach to my wardrobe 3 years ago, I’ve found myself filtering out so many brands that create too much “noise” for my closet. But Madewell always makes the cut, because they also make all of my favorite capsule pieces. If you’re moving to a more intentional approach to getting dressed or want to build a capsule of your own (which I highly recommend), then now is the perfect time to start, because Madewell’s insider event is happening now, and this year, some really great pieces are included.

To access the sale you need to be a Madewell insider, which is free and only requires an email address. Insiders get 20% off, and Stars and Icons get 25% off pretty much everything.

Here are some of my go-to capsule picks from the sale:

The leather Moto jacket: this almost NEVER goes on sale and is probably one of the best quality, most flattering leather jackets I have ever tried on. If you’ve been waiting for this, now is your chance.

The Medium transport tote: This is by-far my most used, most loved bag I’ve ever owned. I’ve had mine for years and I swear it just gets better with age. I love all my Madewell bags but this is hands-down my favorite.

Ivy Chelsea Boots: It took me years to find a great Chelsea boot that I loved and was also flattering on my petite frame, and these were love at first wear. I’ve practically worn them 24/7 for the last few weeks since they arrived. They get a 10/10.

Classic straight jeans: these are the best, most petite friendly, flattering jeans I have ever found. I swear they are magical, I found these in December and I honestly don’t know where they’ve been all my life. I’ve found them to run a size big, FYI so if you want a fitted jean, go down one size.

Sweaters: my Madewell sweaters are always my favorite ones, classic, flattering and well-made. There are some really great cardigans and pullovers this season.

The Brynn Boot: this is a great option if you are looking for a slightly elevated bootie style without too high a heel. I love the suede detail and the squared off toe makes it a unique but classic boot.

Striped tee: This is one of my favorite tees in my closet. I have it in both the charcoal and green color and it’s a great basic for layering year round or wearing on it’s own in the warmer months.

White hoodie: I have rediscovered the versatility of the white hoodie this season. It’s become a capsule must-have in recent months. This one is awesome.

Floral dress: I bought two floral maxi dresses from Madewell last year and I still wear them constantly. I love this year’s green version which comes in petite and tall as well. Just gorgeous and flowy, while still being really wearable.

Coverall jumpsuit: I bought a brown coverall jumpsuit from Madewell in the fall and it has become one of my favorite pieces in my closet. Really love this white one for a year round capsule piece.

Harper Mule: It’s hard to imagine right now when we have feet of snow on the ground, but the harper mule is one of my most worn shoes in my closet. They are so comfy, flattering and go with so many things.

Claire Lace up boot: you’ll notice a lot of shoes on this list, it’s because I’m a super fan of Madewell shoes… these Claire boots have been in heavy rotation and I bought them in both colors, that’s how much I love them.

Carina bootie: if you need a great basic bootie, these are for you. Classic, simple and really comfy. Mine have held up beautifully.

Cropped skinny jeans: if you are looking for some petite friendly skinny jeans, these have a very friendly inseam length and I have had very good luck with Madewell skinny jeans.
