If there’s anything I love about summer it’s all the fresh fruit, specifically peaches. There’s almost nothing I love to eat more than a juicy ripe peach. There are so many yummy things to make with peaches while they’re in season, cobblers, pies, crisps, I’ve been searing mine on my cast iron skillet and eating them warm with homemade whipped cream on top this summer… So delicious! Today I wanted to share one of my favorite peach recipes with you: peach and mint lemonade.
This recipe is so fresh and delicious and it’s perfect for entertaining because it makes a ton of lemonade and is meant to be used with a 2 gallon beverage jar. Great for a summer soiree, or a girls night. It’s sweet but not too sweet and the mint gives it such a refreshing endnote. This recipe can also be easily adapted if you don’t need quite such a large amount, and if you are pinched for time there’s a super easy shortcut, which I’ll share below.
If you are planning any get togethers for the end of summer, I highly recommend making a big jar of this and serving it! I bought this great beverage dispenser from Walmart earlier this summer and we’ve already used it a bunch, it’s super cute and holds a ton of liquid so it’s perfect for parties. The price is pretty much unbeatable too.
My hand squeezed peach and mint lemonade recipe is below! Like I said, above you can cut it down if you don’t need 2 gallons, and if you are short on time I’ll include the shortcut method below the recipe!
Shortcut method: combine 1 jug of Simply Lemonade (this is the closest I’ve found to homemade-hand-squeezed lemonade), puree desired amount of peaches (don’t add any additional sugar), add mint sprigs and let steep in the fridge for a bit before serving so you really get that mint flavor. That’s it! I like to garnish the glasses with sugared rims, lemon slices and mint sprigs.
