Honestly, I would say that probably a 1/3 of my capsule at least is from Madewell; the brand has always delivered in the classics department. And everything I own from Madewell I end up keeping for a long, long time because they become my staple pieces. Since Madewell’s black Friday discount is so big, it’s a great time to stock up on pieces for your capsule. Here are a few of my very favorites, plus some ideas that would be awesome gifts or great for holiday parties:
Transport tote: I have had my medium transport tote for YEARS at this point and it’s still my most used bag. The size is literally perfect, the leather has aged beautifully, and it’s just such a classic, high quality bag.
Tennis necklace: If you have a lady in your life and you are stumped as to what to get her, this tennis necklace is a guaranteed winner. I was obsessing over this necklace for weeks before I went ahead and got it, and I’m so glad I did. It’s so gorgeous and it elevates any outfit you pair it with.
Cashmere turtleneck sweater: I looked for the perfect black turtleneck sweater for a long time before stumbling onto this one. It was an instant closet classic. It’s so soft, and elegant, and it’s not the least big itchy.
Kick out jeans: these might be the most comfortable and flattering jeans I’ve tried on in a good while. They’re slimming and on trend while still feeling classic.
Harlow trousers: I bought these earlier in the fall and have already worn them so many times. They make you look so pulled together while still being insanely comfortable. They come in petite and have some really great colors for christmas parties.
Sequin skirt. Speaking of Christmas parties: I don’t own this sequin skirt, but my goodness is it lovely. You could literally wear this for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, just by changing up what you pair it with a bit. Love a good versatile closet item, even if it’s sparkly like this one.
