I know we’re all ready to be wearing breezy spring dresses and sandals but you guys, the Pacific Northwest is so cold and wet right now. So layers it is. But the great thing about these kinds of layers is that the principles can be carried easily into spring. Fashion is a formula. You find formulas that work for you and just interchange throughout the seasons. Whenever I get in a clothing rut if I go back to my formulas it snaps me right out of my funk.
Like this basic layered with a blazer formula. Easy swap out for the warmer months: Boyfriend jeans with open toe booties, a breezy shirt and light summer sweater with a colorful blazer, or even just a soft tee paired with a blazer and a great scarf. Voila`!
That’s how I’ll dress, next week…
You know, if it stops raining and warms up.
Don’t fail me now Seattle!
