it’s valentine’s day and you could win a lot of money.

Did that title draw you in?

I thought it might.

You should know Mr.’s and my second date was on Valentine’s day.  Our first was the night before (long story), but our second date was February 14th, 2003.  That’s kind of a death-trap date for a guy.  I mean talk about pressure. Second date on lover’s day?  That’s usually the relationship kiss of death.  It’s a good thing that Mr. was a clueless Idaho farm boy and no one ever told him the rule about NEVER EVER EVER asking a girl you aren’t already dating out on Valentine’s day.  Luckily, (for him) I’m not crazy, and didn’t expect more than a fun date (despite the fact that I was already in love with him).  Even luckier for him I didn’t follow my mom’s advice to get him a little something special.  Because THAT would have been really awkward.

(He didn’t get me anything)

Well, Valentine’s gifts be danged, we had a great time.  I mean, obviously because 10 years later, here we are.  Four kids and all.

It’s for that reason alone that February 14th has a special little place in my heart.

Right now you’re thinking “whatever Cori, blah blah blah with your sentimental story…get to the part about the money.”

Oh I am, believe me, I am.

Today I am teaming up with 30 fabulous ladies to bring you the mother of all giveaways.

We are giving away a $1500 VISA gift card to one winner!
