Maxi: Marshalls. Top/ Sunnies: Loft. Jacket: Old Navy. Earrings: Target. |
The thing about maxi skirts is that they are always so ridiculously long on me that I just kind of avoid them. I discovered last weekend, however that when I pull them up to my chest to accommodate the bump, suddenly the length hits much closer to where it should be. I still have to pick up the bottom when I walk, but who’s counting?
Mr. was a big fan of this outfit, yesterday. He told me so several times after he got home from work. (Made me feel awesome.) I think it might have had something to do with the way having my skirt pulled up this high sort of emphasizes my prego chest.
Speaking of which…
I went for a little jog last night after dinner, and in the process of donning my running clothes I made an exciting discovery.
I have cleavage in a sports bra right now.
Like actual cleavage.
I’m a permanent resident of flat chestville ladies and this is a very big deal.
So thank you little bump, for the temporary baby chest.
I’m enjoying it very much.
So is Mr. ;-)
Having cleavage for the first time was definitely one of the bigger (haha) perks of pregnancy for me too!
Super cute! Love the color!
Oh my gosh, same here. The cleavage is my fave (and husbands) thing about being pregnant. It’s a sad situation when I’m not pregnant or nursing…
Love this outfit. That skirt is gorgeous.
You look super cute! I love the way you made that Maxi work for you! I’m in a maxi today–check it out on my blog, I think it’s one you would like. xoxo http://www.csdart.blogspot.com
adorable!
you’ve just renewed my faith that i can wear a maxi while preggo too!
I am pregnant right now as well and last night when I put my sports bra on I turned to my husband and said…”Wow, my boobs actually look good in a sports bra now!” Hahaha, love it!
That color is SOOO gorgeous on you… although… what isn’t gorgeous on you ;)
As a fellow petite, I just bought my first maxi dress, scared to death that it might look ridiculous on my 4’11” frame, but surprisingly, I think I pulled it off. And they are comfy to boot!
You have given me hope that when I’m pregnant one day, I will look cute in a maxi (like you) and might actually have cleavage, which I’ve never had.
You look cute!
You look amazing! I love that color!

you look fabulous! that maxi is so cute on your bump!
Love the maxi!!!
Super cute outfit! I love how it accentuates your bump. Adorable.
CUTE outfit. I love that you’re excited to have cleavage. I am WELL endowed (and haven’t even had kids yet, so I can only imagine) and hate running because of it. To each his own. :)
Ditto to the lacking cleavage….although after my first baby, they never quite bloomed as much as they did the first time. At least I’m going to enjoy my extra nursing boost for a while longer…then back to “flat chestville.” :)

The Mrs. and The Momma
Lol. I remember when I stopped nursing my husband wnd I both wondered if they were really that small before or if they had shrunk!
I love the skirt up above the baby bump. I’ll have to remember that for whenever I manage to get my own baby bump. ;) I too have a maxi issue unless I wear giant wedges. And to me that sort of defeats the purpose of wearing a comfy maxi. Uncomfy shoes cancel out the comfy maxi. ;) Of course there is something very fun about walking around lifting the hem of your skirt off the ground. Makes me feel like a regency lady or some such.
I am also a member of that town! Haha! I feel like a boy when summer time hits because of those swim suits!!
Love this look!!! I hate how I look with an empire waist when I’m pregnant, but I think I’ll just have to get over it, because it looks so good on every one else!!
You are so cute!! I love cleavages too..
Now I am jealous of three things from you. One, (and don’t think this is creepy but . . .) I love your lips. Two, you look AMAZING in your maxi skirt. I love the length on you, the color and how it shows off your adorable belly. Three, I am, and always have been, a member of flat chestville. But when I was pregnant with my baby girl, I actually had cleavage too. And it rocked my socks off.
You’ve really popped out there! You are so cute, Cori!!
You look absolutely stunning! This is such a simple look, and looks just effortless on you.
adorable! i’ve never thought of pulling up the skirt like that either – smart! and i know what you mean about the “pregnancy chest” my hubs is in heaven right now as usually I’m not very blessed in that department and it looks as though I’ve seen a doctor since becoming pregnant. lol. gotta love it :) and good for you for still running!!
I’ve been avoiding maxi skirts too thanks to my petite height, but you’ve proved that us shorties can wear them too (and rock them)!

Enter to win a clutch!
Mr. is right, you look cute as ever! I can totally relate to the clevage thing too…just found out I’m prego, and that’s one of the perks….actually have a chest:) yah for babies and prego chests…hahahaha
Aw you’re finally beginning to pop. I love the color of the skirt and I am with you on the pregnancy cleavage. ;) it’s so fun.
HI! I love maxis too, but like you I’m short! Your baby bump has helped you solve the length issue, but i’m still stuck avoiding cute maxis :(
love your blog. i’ll def be back.
follow back?
xxo!
I love maxi skirts and dresses — I just have to have a seamstress whack a good 6-8 inches from the bottom of everything!
Love your skirt — so cute!
nice looking
Maxi’s are always too long for me too! Glad it works perfectly with your baby bump :) I’m loving the outfits on your blog, the yellow is adorable!
