Jeans/White Button-up: Loft. Blazer: H&M. Cardi: Target. Shoes: Payless. Bag: Ross. Belt: Mr.’s |
These jeans are getting super faded, which sort of makes me want to cry because I cannot find another pair exactly like them that fit the way they do. Why don’t stores just run the same pair of jeans in the same fit season after season? I mean, they’re jeans, do we really need to “shake things up?” I swear, as soon as I find the perfect fit, a brand goes ahead and changes it all up again. Boo. I would have bought this jean 3 times over if they’d have had more than one pair of 00P but alas, they don’t actually carry that many of that size. Go figure.
Also, I just realized that this belt is clashing with my sweater. Whoops.
Speaking of stores, I meandered into the Loft yesterday when I went to the mall to get some more eye liner. (Funny how every time I go to the mall for something else, I somehow end up at the Loft– favorite stores have a way of drawing you in.) Anyways, as I was walking in, I randomly set off the store’s security alarm, which was awesome. So the lady comes over, I tell her I don’t have anything, and she asks if anything I am wearing is from The Loft. Um, like half of what I am wearing is Loft… Long story short, somehow she ends up with a pair of scissors in hand, lifts up my blouse and snips the security tag right off for me. I’d like to think that I handled it gracefully, but it was super awkward. Um., thank you for lifting up my shirt to cut that off, I think I could have done that at home…
I still love you Loft, but really?
So in t-minus 2 hours I’ll be heading to the airport to jet off and see my family. Hannah may or may not have looked like she was going to cry when I put her on the bus this morning, which just breaks my heart. This is the catch 22 of visiting my family. So happy to be there, and simultaneously missing Mr. and the littles. Life is like that isn’t it? Bitter sweet.
When I was studying abroad in Spain, the first day I was there I set off the security alarm at a grocery store. The security people brought me to a private room and, long story short, I ended up with my shorts off while the security lady snipped off the security tag inside my shorts. True story.
great blazer … enjoy your trip!!

I know how you feel about leaving your husband and kids to go see your family. I live in southwest Washington and my family lives in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. A couple of weeks ago I went to TN for a visit. I loved being with my family, but felt like I was missing something because my husband and kids weren’t there with me. Maybe we could start a support group. : ) I hope you have a great trip.
I am a huge fan of your blog! Would you consider dying your jeans darker? I dyed a denim jacket not too long ago and I love it! Here’s a link to mu tutorial – http://www.proud-as-punch.com/2011/08/darker-denim-diy.html.

Love tha blazer! Just wanted to let you know- I have a pair of loft jeans size 00P I bought a couple years ago and wore a handful of times. They’re in a bag with a bunch of other clothes I am going to list on a blog sale.let me know if you’re interested. They look like the same cut as the one you’re wearing here!
WOW I can’t believe that she cut the security tag off without asking. People are so strange sometimes. Love your outfit.
The best stuff always seems to be in limited quantities. Even makeup. Why? You should check EBay every night until you find another pair that’s brand new. There has to be someone out there with them. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen just about every Loft item I own on EBay at one time or another.
ive totally had that happen with a loft shirt… at the grocery store. i went to the bathroom and cut it off (using my key) so it wouldn’t happen on the way out, too. totally awkward.
hope you have a great trip!!
That security thing actually happens to me a lot. At regular Ann Taylor, too.
I just now realized why I set off a metal detector today and had to have the “wand”. Crap. I need to get out my scissors this weekend and do some cutting!
I’ve read in other blogs about being able to re-dye your jeans to make them dark again…always an option?
This looks like a quick way to dye them. 10 minutes?

Found your blog recently via the wonderful Pinterest. Really like your outfit! I was also going to suggest redying your jeans with something like Dylon? I too have a favourite pair and will be gutted when they no longer look good.
