Tweed skirt: made by me.  Blouse, white button -up: The Loft.  Blazer: Thrifted.  Necklace: Ross.  Tights: Target.  Shoes:  Jessica Simpson via Ross.
I couldn’t decide yesterday if I wanted to wear a blazer over this blouse, or a white shirt under it.  Initially, I went with the white shirt under it.  And then, just as I was running out the door to church (almost, but not late) I pulled an audible and threw on the blazer over top of both.
I just remembered how much I adore layers.
Also, can I get a virtual high-five for the football reference?
I’m so knowledgeable.  And stuff.

This tweed skirt was a late night Saturday creation.  I’ve decided I should probably stop experimenting with pattern tweaking late at night.  I’m too tired and impatient to be precise, and pattern creation takes precision. So instead I just start shortening and bringing stuff in, and moving darts up and down, in and out, etc. by sight.
Sometimes it works, most of the time my results are kind of a B-.
Like this tweed skirt.
I decided to tweak my pencil skirt pattern a bit after Mr. informed me that he thought the last one I made was too baggy.  In his exact words, I should “make it tighter.”
Hahaha.
That Mr., he’s such a bad influence on my modesty.
Given the late night pattern changing, I ended up with a my skirt hugging my behind a little more than I really like.  (insert wrinkles on the front side, boo.)
But Mr. didn’t mind.

You should do a makeup tutorial sometime. I’m not sure if you do full coverage for your everyday look, or just for the photos, but you should still do one for us!
