yodeling cowboys.

Sweater: The Loft.  Chevron Skirt: Made by me.  Scarf/Boots: Ross.  Ring:c/o Little Miss Momma.  Earrings: c/o Wonton Mommy.

These buns at the back of my hair sort of made me feel like Heidi.  Then I saw the pictures, which confirmed that the most appropriate activity for a hair style like this is perhaps yodeling.

No worries.

Up do’s are rather uncomfortable to me anyway, especially the kind that sit on the nape of my neck because they require approximately 700 bobby pins to hold my mop of hair up and still start to undo themselves within a couple of hours.

Of course the top bun is an exception to this.

Always infallible.

Also, these camel colored suede leather boots are just a hair away from being too cowboy for me.  Just enough that I love them, despite the fact that I realized I hadn’t worn them in almost 2 years.  Do you ever do that?  Completely forget to wear something you have in your closet even though its staring you right in the face?  I’m just glad I didn’t donate these in one of my dejunking frenzies.

That would have been a tragedy.

Next time I think I’ll just wear my hair down.

We don’t want any yodeling cowboys.

Yodel-ay-eee-ooo.

***postscript: If you have emailed about skirts: I took a week off to get caught up after crazy birthdays,  and etc. but I’m going to begin posting again this week.  I’ll be posting on Facebook when I put new items in the shop, and then it’s just a first come first serve basis.  Make sure to “Like” La Vie Petite  on Facebook to stay updated!!!

Also, if you are interested in a Chevron skirt in either the pleated or pencil style I will be posting them soon.  I’m just waiting for my shipment of fabric to come in.  (It’s taking forever)

  11. There are larger bobby pins that are designed to hold more hair. They’re available at most drugstores and supercenters(Walgreens, WalMart, Target, etc.). The new Goody twist pin also works better than multiple bobby pins. I know what you mean, before I chopped off my hair it was awful to put my hair up. Oh, and spraying your hair w/ hairspray before putting it up and teasing the hair at the nape will help it grip better too! It’s so frustrating to have it fall out but you look cute w/ it!
