eight.



dear mr.

I don’t know how to write about you.  I’ve tried all morning to put you, our life into words, and I can’t.  Somethings are meant to be felt, not written.

So I’ll just say, 

thank you.



For being who you are.  For making me a mother.  For killing yourself everyday so that I can stay home with our babies.  For taking my silly blog pictures for me.  For thinking all my crazy, hair-brained ideas are the most brilliant thing you’ve ever heard.  For making me feel like I can do anything.  For never once yelling at me.  For forgiving all the times I’ve sorta lost it at you.  For being smart, and funny, and charming (even if you never notice how charming you really are.)  For being tough, and working hard, and making me feel safe.



You are the kind of person that it’s good to be in a foxhole with.

And sometimes, life can be a foxhole.



thanks for eight years of wedded bliss.



I still love you like crazy.

married 8 years.

made 3 babies.

lived in 5 states.

earned 3 college degrees.

had 3 (real) jobs.

owned 2 homes.

driven 7 (different) cars.

9 vacations.

lots of stress

and one husband I still love to smooch.
