relatably vintage.

Whilst in my current state of upheaval, I have found my mind wandering to the woman who birthed the woman who birthed me.  The Grandma who, drove 8 kids and her pregnant self from Colorado to California alone, sans air conditioner.  And suddenly, having movers pack our stuff, a quick 3 hour flight, and my current bed-less state doesn’t seem like that big an inconvenience.

Master seamstress, mother of ten, and my own personal style icon.
I mean, come on.  A ruffly top, a blazer, and a pencil skirt.
We must be related.
Now all I need is that fabulous hat.
Come back tomorrow to drink in more deliciously vintage style.
Care of Grandma Dot.

Isn’t it fabulous to find out your ancestors were fashionable? I have a knitted cardigan that belonged to my great grandmother and now is one of my favorite items to wear. I’m like, really? Great Grandma was that cool? I love to see bits and pieces like this.
