better than heels.

Here are my clothes from yesterday.  I was going to write something very (read sarcasm) exciting about  the red pants trend, but I would rather tell you this super cute story instead:

Yesterday, our afternoon activity was making books.  This generally consists of printing out pictures of ponies and dinosaurs and dragons from the internet, coloring them and stapling them together.  I know, pretty awesome books.  These babies belong on the bestsellers list, people.  So, Mr Husband has gotten into this lovely little habit lately of printing out hundreds of pages at a time for his MBA.  (How dare he!) Which means we run out of ink in the printer about every 2 weeks.  Well yesterday, I printed out pictures for Hannah (a pony and a girl dragon) and Carter (a dinosaur and a scary dragon), and when I got to Ethan, he had one little request.  He wanted a picture of Little Foot to color.  (You remember him right? From the Land Before Time)  Well, when I went to print it, the little window popped up on my computer screen “Printer out of ink.”  Poor Ethan, his heart was broken.  He was like the only kid at the party who didn’t get a cupcake.  And he’s 3; he just could not understand what out of ink meant.  The other two offered him one of their pictures, but it was no use, all he really wanted was a Little Foot picture.  Then Miss Hannah stepped in.  “It’s okay, Ethan,” she said, “I have the perfect solution.”  (my 6 year-old actually does talk this way-hilarious).  She took Ethan into the library with her, and about 20 minutes later he comes back out.  Holding this:

A picture of Little Foot with Peetrie on his back (just like he wanted).  She drew it out, let him color it, then cut it out for him.  Um, can I please have 3 more of her?

I may not get to wear heels very often, but I love being a mom.

Bliss.

  8. Ahh, the tender moments of motherhood make it all worth it don’t they?

btw, we have the same toystory shirt from disney at our house.. Is it not the SOFTEST teeshirt in history? My husband is very jealous of the assumed comfort of that tee.
