I’m roundin home on my 30 for 30 guys! Woo to the hoo. And let me tell you, I’m pretty sick of just about every item in my 30 for 30, with the exception of this striped shirt and my trouser jeans.
I live for trousers. I don’t think anything looks as surprisingly flattering on a women than a well fitted pair of trousers. There was a time a few years ago, when I hunted and hunted (mostly in vain) for the perfect pair of trousers, but I could never find a pair that actually fit me (we’re talking fall off my hips big), and I discovered another fact. There is nothing as surprisingly unflattering as a poor fitted pair of trousers. Funny how that works. But anyways, even when I did find a fabulous pair at Banana Republic that actually fit, and bought them, and brought them home, and nestled them happily into my closet, I made a sad discovery. There’s not a lot of demand for trousers when you’re a mom. Boo.
Enter the trouser jean, which is, I believe the best little invention since polka dots and stripes, and that’s saying a lot. You get everything that’s fabulous about the trouser, with all the functionality of the jean. Yes, I’ll take a pair, or twelve.
Beside being, I think universally flattering, you can get them in a number of silhouettes and sizes. I found this fabulous pair at the Loft, and I swear if they had had anymore in my size I would have bought every pair. Hm, maybe it’s a good thing that these were the only ones…. Trouser jeans look so much more sophisticated than other jeans. I think they are a great alternative to dress pants!
Trouser jeans are my FAVORITE!!!!! I really should pick up a few more in slightly different styles since I wear my pair so often.

These are so ADORABLE on you! Just had to tell you, I went into Loft last night for the first time in YEARS. Their stuff is SO great…I was just walking around touching and admiring so many different pieces. Made me think about your endorsement for them a week or so back :)
