Dress: Vintage circa 1950 from Flour (etsy shop), Tights: Walmart: Shoes: Thrifted, Necklace: Walmart, Ring: Target |
I had a really fabulous post planned for today all about my struggles to accessorize this beautiful vintage dress my husband bought me for Christmas. I struggled and struggled to figure out what to wear it with. A sweater? A belt? And then it hit me… just let the dress speak. That is what I was going to post about, but today did not go as planned. First of all, on Saturday, my microwave stopped working. When I push the buttons the lights come on and it makes noise, but the food comes out just as cold as when I put it in. Possibly colder. The piece of junk is barely a year old. Secondly, my husband got called to Seattle again this week. Yeah, he was only home for like three days. Then, this afternoon when I was driving to pick up my daughter from school, I got in a car accident. Lovely. So my husband’s out of town, my microwave isn’t micro-ing and now my brand new Honda Pilot is busted up. I think it is safe to say that today is not my day. I hope it was yours.
I am sorry! What a day! Hope tomorrow is better! Love you tights!
