oh behave.

My kids could not keep their hands off these earrings today.  Seriously.  They were OB-SESSED with them.  But really if you think about it, how could they not be.  I mean, come on peachy chandelier earrings?  It’s practically a party for your lobes.  Today I decided to go a third day without washing my hair (I always go two in order to avoid massive amounts of frizz– which believe me, I have) and today, my hair just begged me for another day of natural oils.  I’m planning on silky smooth curls tomorrow, but in the interim I pulled my hair into a nice little knot on the back of my head and was done with it.  Usually my hair does not behave very well for such a plan.  I have a lot of long thick hair, which means, it’s heavy and it doesn’t like to stay put without a gajillion bobby-pins, which inevitably give me a throbbing bobby-pin headache.  Um, no thanks.  Fortunately, today this worked, and on the first try to boot. Yee-haw.

How it worked: Boots and jeggings are always very tricky for me to pull off.  I’m small, but I’m not a twig leg like so many other petites my size who are built with snap-easy bones.  I have a healthy ribcage, my hips have successfully transferred three children into this world, and I’m a runner, so there’s muscle on my thighs.  The heights on these boots makes the attempt more successful, and the general looseness of the top/sweater combo helps as well, but the jury is still out.  Should I ditch the jeggings forever?  What’s the verdict?

Cori- I love this blog! You’ve always been beautiful, but you get more and more beautiful with age. I love all of your clothes. Can I come to Arizona and take you shopping with me? And I think those jeggings look amazing on you. I personally think you are a twig. I’ve tried the skinny jeans look and it just looks awful on me.

  2. On the jeggings question: do what you feel, because if you’re feeling “yikes” about your clothes, that can quickly translate to feeling uncomfortable when you wear them. That said, I personally think they look great! I’m a big fan of jeggings/boots in general, so it’s not too tough to win me over, but I genuinely think these are workin’ for ya. =)
