I’ve gotta level with you. I didn’t plan on covering the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale at all this year. I didn’t cover it last year. Honestly it had turned into such a spectacle over the last few years and with the tiered open dates and stuff selling out ridiculously fast, it felt like a waste of time for me and for you. There were also several years where I felt the items offered didn’t live up to quality standards I’d come to expect and frankly we should all expect from Nordstrom. All things considered, the last 3-4 years of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale have been a disappointment. Which is why I found myself pleasantly surprised when I popped over to the site for old time’s sake the other day, and found not only some of my favorite items on sale, but also in stock. These aren’t the frantic next season trendy grabs of year’s past. Just good solid items, you can snag at a discount.

In the beauty department: my all-time favorite self-tanner (that you don’t have to sleep in!) is on sale, as well as the curling iron I’ve used for years, and the anti-aging tool I use en lieu of getting botox. I’ve rounded up a few great home deals including the softest ever throw blankets my kids fight over, the hybrid pillow I swear by, and a toaster/airfryer worth taking up precious kitchen counter space.
