I love the city just as much as the next girl, but the truth is, I feel most at home in wide-open spaces. When I get out into the calm of an open field, watch the sunset on grain, feel the wind tumble across crops and tease my hair, that is when my soul sings. Perhaps it’s the west-coast girl in me, but all I really want out of life (besides a happy family) is a farm with chickens and no less than two horses. And a big oak tree, with a swing.
