T-minus one week and counting until the big day, and I’m finishing all my last minute prep, as I’m sure all of you are. We’ve got several different Christmas parties to attend this week and when I’m considering what on earth to wear, I like to trade the classic Christmas reds and greens for something a little richer. Emerald and Bordeaux are great alternatives to the brighter shades of each that are more common this time of year, and they’re both colors I’ve been crushing on hard this entire season.
Come back tomorrow, I’ll show you how I’m setting my holiday table… you’re going to love it. ;-)

Awesome silk blouses from Everlane…join here.
That Bonjour skirt is out of this world! You styled it so perfectly, too.
I know you are a huge fan of Everlane and I’m so tempted to get one of their silk blouses. I’m petite like you–only 5’2″ and slender. Do you think their XS would fit me? What size do you usually get?
I am a huge fan! They are my favorite blouses in my closet. I always order the XS and I think it would fit you like a dream. The shoulders are nice and narrow and the arms aren’t too blousey, I love a little extra length on the bottom, because it makes them perfect for tucking. You are going to love these, they are so so soft and well made. I die over the tortoise shell buttons too, ah just wait… you will love it.
It looks absolutely adorable! Truly love your tights!

I wanted to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed your Christmas posts. You’ve only given us a glimpse of what you and your family have endured the last year, but to see how you pick yourself up and keep moving is inspiring. You remind me to put the effort into myself to feel good and it helps me be a better mother and wife when I feel good. Thanks for your blog! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
thank you so much for saying this Jackie, you have no idea how much it meant to me. :-)
I’m so glad. I believe as women we should empower eachother. That’s one on my resolutions in the new year; lift up other women. Happiest of holidays to you and yours!
Great. Thanks for more another hosiery example … keep them coming.
Quick question: I bought some wide burlap ribbon to wrap my packages but am having a really tough time tying a bow…how did you make the bows in the above pictures?
i looped them back on themselves rather than actually tying, then I taped them into place. It seemed to work pretty well.
