This weekend was one of those heavenly affairs where family came into town and it gives you permission to slow down just a bit and take a break. I didn’t even realize how much I wanted/needed a break. I mean, yesterday after church I took a nap on a blanket in the shade of the backyard. Three hours of bliss, chirping birds, gentle breeze and me dozing the afternoon away moving my blanket to follow the shade as the sun crossed the sky. I didn’t even bring a book outside so I could pretend like I was going to “read.” Nope, the intent is purely napping.
Goll, I love Seattle. Isn’t it such a dreamy city? These cobblestone walks and old brick buildings covered in ivy, I mean come on. They are killing me dead.
