I know our mothers/grandmothers have taught us that we should have two different closets, a cold weather closet and a warm weather closet. And one should be tucked away while the other season enjoys it’s time in the sun, or snow if the case be, but seriously, who’s got time for that? What I prefer is to use my clothes in a more constant rotation. Sure it might mean that my closet isn’t as roomy as it would be if I packed half of it up every six months, but it also means I get to work the heck out of my clothes. I like the pieces I select to do double time, so to make it in my wardrobe, you’ve got to be wearable at least 3 seasons out of 4. This Boden dress, for example, is quite the summer affair, but can easily be mix/matched, and layered in the spring and fall seasons. I chose a light cardi, mostly because they were made to go with a fit and flair dress, and I love the classic feminine vibe you get when pairing these two silhouettes.
