I have a really hard time finding coats and jackets that work for me. When you’re under 5 feet that’s just part of your life. And for some reason the older I get the less I want to look like I borrowed clothes from my big sisters closet (crazy idea I know), and the pickier I get about fit. In some ways this has been a blessing. I think that most people don’t even considering alterations as a viable option for their clothes, because most things pretty much fit them or well enough off the rack, but really, since we all have different body shapes, we probably should be altering all our clothes at least a little to get the right fit. Anyway, because clothes so rarely fit me correctly right off the rack whenever that does occur, it’s kind of a big deal. This jacket was one of those things that just fit like a glove the first time I tried it on. I couldn’t have dreamed a more perfect jacket for me. Seriously, fit, cut, color, details… every inch of this jacket has been pure love, and I’ve worn it almost daily for over a month. I’m not kidding. Here’s what I do every morning. I stand in front of my closet and think, “what can I wear today that will go with my cognac bomber jacket?” I actually feel annoyed when it’s warm enough that I don’t need one. Who am I?
I’ve considered penning it a love note, but I wouldn’t want to scare it off…
I mean, it’s only been a month.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
