Dress:Worthington® Short-Sleeve Faux-Leather Dress. (c/o) Jacket.(StylistTM by JCPenney) Shoes. (similar.)
There is nothing I love more than a great statement dress. For me that usually means a fun, quirky print, or stripes, but when I spotted this bordeaux faux leather dress I was immediately smitten. Bordeaux is by far my favorite color to wear in the fall and winter months. I love the way it compliments my skin tones, and I think it’s one of those shades that just makes everyone look great. It’s a magic color. ;-)
Since it’s only early September, and still not fully fall, I paired with some nude pumps and my denim jacket for a transitional date night look. I can’t wait to layer it all through the winter months. I’m thinking riding boots, booties with tights, a tweed blazer, and maybe even a long chunky cardigan. I also think it would be super cute with a pair of ballet flats and a little bolero jacket. There are so many great options. I can just tell this is going to be one of those pieces in my closet where I quickly learn goes with everything, and gets worn over and over again. (like the black lace dress I picked up last winter.) It’s such a great piece to dress up for a night out or even to wear into the office.
What I love most is that I snagged this dress for under $50. It’s definitely one of those statement pieces and I love it when I find those (and especially when they are this versatile) at such a great price tag. JCPenney has a lot of really great new arrivals for fall and they’re all super on trend (think pretty faux leather skirts and great statement pieces) for a great price.
So what do you think? How should I style this wonder-dress next?
