I love the Pacific Northwest. I really do. But the rumors about it are true. It rains a lot here- like a lot, a lot, and with that rain comes a lot of gray days. Sometimes that can be a little disheartening. It’s not so bad during the deep winter months when the rest of the country is enduring sub-zero temperatures and we’re sitting at a moderate, if wet 50 degrees. But come April, when everyone starts instagramming themselves in shorts enjoying sunshiny spring weather, and it’s pouring rain here, you can start to question your humanity.
One of the tricks I use to combat the winter blues and grays is to add a charming spring coat in bright colors and cheerful patterns into my daily rotation. A bright and cheerful coat can do wonders for your mood, it always makes me feel charming, and it’s basically an outfit all on it’s own. I just added this fun ASOS beauty to my closet (I love coats that look like something Audrey would wear- and this one just sings Miss Hepburn), last seen here and here, and Boden is always a go-to for me. They’ve just nailed the spring coat.
