You guys know that curating a capsule foundation is something I’m really big on, and one of the first things I do is make a list of pieces I want to add to my closet. Well, I’ve had a black shirtdress on my list for like 2 years and never been able to find the right one, until now. I am pretty picky about my capsule items, and the black shirtdress gave me a run for my money. I stumbled upon this beauty at J.Crew a couple weeks ago and it is literally the shirtdress of my dreams.
Here’s what I love about this dress: the fit is awesome, the cut and design are lovely, the fabric is soft and light so it’s perfect for summer, it’s a classic silhouette so it won’t go out of style, and I feel fabulous wearing it. Basically its a perfect capsule piece. I got it in black (obviously) but it also comes in 2 other pretty colors and they’re both lovely. (I really love the yellow!).
