We put up our tree last night. It was wonderful, the ducklings helped more than they’ve ever been able to, and it was so much fun. I love, love, love the age that every single one of my kids is at right now. I want to freeze time. Also, I’ve decided that Christmas can last longer than just for the next month, I want that tree glowing in my corner for much, much longer. Don’t you think Christmas trees are just so soothing? That sounds weird, but really, they’re like a warm blanket. That light just wraps right around my soul and makes me feel so peaceful. Which, as it turns out I could really use this year–hence letting the tree linger longer…
When faux fur first started appearing, I was pretty adamant that it wasn’t for me, but low and behold, it turns out, it’s really soft and also really warm, and those are two of my favorites. So here we are, all bedecked in fur and loving it.
