hey boyfriend.

Boyfriend Jeans: Gap (size 24/00P), White Tee: Target, Cardigan: Old Navy, Scarf: American Eagle, Boots: Steve Madden, Necklace: Gift from sister(thanks Tashi!)…more on it later, Earings: Gift from mom (thanks mom, they’re a fave)
Yesterday morning when I woke up I just knew I was going to wear my boyfriend jeans.  I had an epic trip to the grocery store planned as well as a few other around the town errands and those babies are just so comfortable.  In retrospect they probably didn’t work as well as I thought they did paired with my boots (maybe rolled up next time?), but whatev.  I think it must be a boot week for me because I wore them on Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Friday.  Perhaps I’ll venture into some other shoes today…  But back to the jeans, these boyfriends are pretty much a miracle.  I ordered them from Gap at the end of the summer season and got a slamming deal, but that’s not why.  The miracle is that they FIT!  Albeit, they are a little loose, but they’re boyfriend jeans and I figure that’s the style so I can get away with it. Or can I?  You can be the judge.  Being unnaturally mini, I’m always super aware of size and fit, because I HATE looking like I’m wearing my big sister’s shirt that’s too big for me.  And let’s face it, when you’re < 5 ft and the only time you've ever broken 100 pounds is when you were pregnant, most clothes fit that way.  Add that to the lovely new "vanity" sizing that's all the rage right now, where they call a size four a zero, and well yeah, it's hard to find clothes that fit, especially on a mom budget, when I can't just have everything altered.

Gap has not previously been my friend in the pants department.  I’ve tried on their smallest size in store and it looked like a joke, like falling off my waist don’t even need to unbutton them to pull them up, I could stand on a step ladder and they would still be too long joke.  “Excuse me miss, could you please direct me to the kid’s Gap?”  Oh well, these babies are size 24/00P and I think they work well enough.  It gives me some hope… come on peeps, keep the sizing accurate!

How it worked:  The scarf was once again, a bit of hindrance, but I don’t care!  I’m wearing them anyway.  The rest of it was easy breezy, comfortable, easy to move/maneuver in, didn’t need to stay perfectly tucked in.  Low maintenance perfection.

Speaking of Vanity Sizing… HAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahaaaaaaaaa.  Thank you, New Yorker.
