proven.

Skirt: La Vie Petite. Boat-neck tee/ Watch: Target.  Wedges: Old Navy.  Belt: Thrifted.  Purse: Ross.

Today I proved (to myself mostly) that you can wear a high waisted skirt and wedges and still do all the normal mommy things.  Like a trip to the fabric store, a trip to best buy, a few groceries, and a little spray painting… (alright fine, I changed into my painting clothes for that) I even burnt our Memorial day BBQ chicken in this skirt and wedges ensemble.  It was very June Cleaver of me.  I am admittedly not Queen of the Grill.  Bummer.  But the lady in the fabric store spent a good 15 minutes gushing over my skirt, so I guess I’m not a total domestic failure.  Right?  Right??

And may I just add that I go ba-nanas for a good boat neck shirt.  I mean who doesn’t go  ba-nanas for boat necks?  My wedding dress even had a boat neck collar and I just think they are so lovely and classy.  And just in case you can’t tell because of my ridiculously thick mane of hair, the shirt I’m wearing has a boat-neck…

I love dressing nice when I am out running errands. It makes me feel like I am working! (which, in actuality, I am!).
I just adore your skirts. In love with them. I need to see one on a tall girl, though, since I am not petite.
I do have to ask, though… how are you not dying from the heat??? If I were in AZ, I could not wear sleeves and long skirts!! I am sitting here in 85 in the midwest and sweating in my tank and shorts!

Darling! Skirts and dresses are so light and breezy fresh when it is hot outside. I can’t wait to see your finished furniture project, bet it looks great! I have the set I grew up with in my guest bedroom that I am dying to paint white and get new hardware when I have time for a project.
