not so bad.

Tweed Blazer: H&M.  Polka Dot Blouse: Vintage.  Trouser Jeans: The Loft. Belt: Mr.’s  Oxfords: Payless.

Yesterday, for his birthday, Mr. took Carter up to the Summit to go skiing, because work and kindergarten are highly overrated.

I know I’m a terrible mother.

When Mr. got home with our elated 6-year-old in tow, we loaded the littles up into the car and drove to the city to see the lights and ride the Christmas Carousel.  I love a city at Christmas time.

When we finished walking the streets we made our way through Pike Place market, down the long steps to the waterfront and ate dinner at Ivers,  Mr.’s favorite.

I’m so in love with Seattle, I can’t imagine how we ever didn’t live here.

And for the record, as far as I can tell, it doesn’t rain nearly as much as everyone says it does.

When we got home, and after Mr. blew out his candles, I asked him what he wanted to do with the rest of his evening.

He said he wanted lay by the fire together and read.

Since there are few things I love doing more than cuddling up with a good book (er-Kindle) and reading, Mr. is pretty much a dream spouse.

We both have birthdays around the holidays, a fact which I have always lamented.

But last night as I drifted off to sleep under the Christmas tree, I decided it might not be so bad.

this is a great outfit. I love the way your jacket comes together at the back of the waist.

Look out, though. now everywhere else seems disappointing after living in the Seattle area. My man and I can’t imagine ourselves anywhere else.

  14. Very cute! I must warn you though, it isn’t normally this rainless! I’m just hoping we don’t pay for it with torrential downpour for 60 days straight or something : )

This is a very cute outfit. All your outfits are cute. Questions…Do your jeans from LOFT have stretch in them? I was looking at their website and bought a pair in a dark color and realized they have stretch in them which I am not totally in love with.
