Nine years ago today I woke up on the morning of our wedding, feeling calmer than perhaps I had felt in my entire life.
I found this quite surprising as (given my genetics) I had always expected to be a nervous wreck on the day I pledged myself to another human being for the rest of eternity.
Now looking back, it makes perfect sense. You don’t panic when you’ve made the right choice, and you are the most right choice I have ever made.
I don’t even know how to begin summing up the last 9 years of our life together, but let me just say I’m grateful for every single bit of it.
Our life is so beautiful.
Our marriage is the thing I cherish most in this world, and I know that’s almost entirely because of your contribution to it.
I’m so grateful for your brilliant mind, your energy for life, your endless patience, your charming personality, your hilarious sense of humor, and for the fact that I still find you wildly interesting nine years later.
You are never, ever boring.
Thanks for fascinating me every day, and making it ridiculously easy to love you.
