I would like to announce that I have, in fact, survived the birthday season. It was touch- and-go for a bit there, and I may or may not have had a momma break down or two between all the Halloween prep and 3 kids’ birthdays, but yesterday, my Ava turned one and we marked the last of the fall annuals. There are so many October birthdays in our family, sometimes I wonder if I will survive. Also, it turns out Fall is almost as expensive as Christmas. On the bright/heartbreaking side, my Ava is now one. I’m still crying into my pillow about that, so while I’m consoling myself, take a look at our new pencil skirt. It’s pretty perfectly fall, if I do say so myself. You know I’m a sucker for burnt orange.

Oh, congrats on birthday season – I GET it! That is us here with end of may and june. Two of my kids, my Mr., my mom, Father-in-law, Bro-in-law, niece and nephew are all then and it is a whirlwind. Add in end of school and just being DONE after a full year of school and we usually end the month completely drained! Love the skirt and that cream coat? To DIE for!
