Holiday Gift Guide: Ava.

I’m over the moon to have a baby to shop for again.  I love shopping for my older kids, don’t get me wrong, but baby clothes, shoes and toys are just so adorable, plus I feel like baby toys and clothes have gotten so much cuter in the last few years.  I love all the natural classic toys, I’m crazy about all the little teepees and pop-up forts, and don’t even get me started on all the shoes… I’m looking at you Joy Folie.  Here are a few things I’ve been eyeing for my littlest monkey…

1. Teepee.  I don’t know about you, but I’d be willing to go through the entire growing up process all over again, if it meant I could have a teepee like this in my room growing up.  My Ava loves to play hide-and-seek in our curtains at home, so I’m thinking a teepee is a must have.  I’m making her one that matches her room (because I’m stupid and  obsessive and I like to have everything match and make extra work for myself…), but this Land of Nod one is basically perfect.

2. Twig Creative Camera: there almost aren’t words to describe how much I love these little wooden cameras from Twig Creative.  When they first came out all my littles were well beyond that stage of toy and it broke my heart, I almost bought one, just for me.  So you can imagine how I’m doing mental backhandsprings that I have a baby again… Also, this is my most favorite color blue so…

3.  Boots.  These Joy Folie boots… I can’t even.  I love other indie designers so much.  They come up with the most fabulous things and also I feel like they are my soul sisters or something… Anyways, I can’t get enough of everything on Joy Folie’s website.  Everything is perfect.

4. I bought Ava two little sweatshirt dresses from Old Navy for her birthday a month ago and they are basically my favorite things to dress her in.  They are soft and warm and so much easier for diaper changes.  Her closet needs this polka dot one.

5. Plush Rocker:  Thank you PBKids for coming up with a fabulous alternative to the traditional wood rocking horse.  And thank you for making it baby size, my girl’s gonna love this.

6. Personalize Leggings from Jennifer Ann.  These are so cute.  Jennifer is another fellow indie, and she is the sweetest thing ever.  Hurry and order this week though, if you want to get your leggings before Christmas.

7.Polka Dot Jammies for Christmas Eve, because obvs you need to have polka dot jammies, right?

8. Joy Folie shoes, just as much love as before, these gold ones are hea-ven.

9,10. I’m all about a fluffy skirt and cardi as an alternative to the traditional Christmas dress.  I have been repeatedly impressed with Target’s holiday dresses for babies… now pretty please build one in Cache Valley!

There you have it… my wishlist for Ava.

More coming later this week…

Happy Monday!

I got that gold skirt with a gold cardi for my almost 3 year old! I was so happy to squeeze her into “baby” clothes for at least one more season. Next year we’ll probably be into little girl clothes :(
