This time of year, when the stores are stocked with dark colors and heavy fabrics, I like to mix it up a bit with soft winter hues.  I think pastels are always chic, but never more so than in the winter when everyone else is clad in black.  And there’s never a better time to make a statement in these muted colors, or you know, if that fails call it winter camo, and blend in with the snow.

I think I’ve said this before, but a white silk blouse is a must have for every woman’s closet and I cannot get enough of my Everlane one. (not pictured here, it’s at the dry cleaners :-( ) Seriously, I don’t know how I functioned before I found Everlane, their staples are my go-to basics now.

You can join Everlane here. And I highly recommend you do.

You look darling, as always! Curious, I noticed Everlane doesn’t sell petite-sized clothing. I don’t mean this to be critical in anyway, but why would you chose Everlane over something that is better proportioned for petites? I would love a silk blouse, but I’m debating between this Everlane one and finding something that is proportioned for petites at either Nordstrom or another place with petite items. Thanks for the insight!

Good question! When I’m buying blouses I don’t worry about the length as much because I like them to be longer and I find that sometimes petite cuts end up being too short and boxy. I worry more about the shoulders, arms and bust area. I love the everlane blouss because they’re nice and narrow in the shoulders, the sleeves are just blousey enough and the bust fits well. I like that I get a little extra length with them too.
