Life’s been rather crazy for the last few weeks, but we made it to Seattle. I say we, because our stuff has not in fact made it to Seattle yet. It’s somewhere in-route in a large truck. For now, we’re all cozied up in a corporate apartment. The kids think our “hotel” is pretty amazing because it has a balcony, and they’d like to replace our Pilot (also in-route) with our Mini-van rental because it has automatic sliding doors and a dvd player. It’s so easy to impress children…
On Saturday, we went down to the waterfront because that’s how you say hello again to Seattle, by walking along the waterfront. Especially because it was the dreamiest sunny day ever. Seattle is so dreamy in the sunshine. Incidentally, it’s pretty fantastic in the rain too… good thing. ;-) We’re all pleased as punch to be back here, and together again. Here’s just a little look at what we’ve been up to, via instagram. xo
New design in the works, and you guys, it turned out so pretty.
Ava was a great “helper” during the move. Her occupation of choice: removing the numbered green stickers from every moving box she could get her chubby little hands on.
My sister Tarah made me borscht on my last night in Utah because she knows how much I love Russian food, and she’s a really really sweet person. (I really miss my brother and sisters, but I’m trying not to dwell on that fact too much.)
This basically sums up Ethan’s ever constant love and excitement for Ava. The boy is obsessed with her. Also, she was the worst on the plane. So stinky. There’s nothing like a stinky toddler on a plane to make you feel like not a rockstar parent, even if your other three are PERFECT. And I don’t use that phrase lightly, they were perfect on the plane. And Ava was the worst. Still love her, even if she is a diva sometimes.
I said goodbye to my old studio last week. It was pretty bittersweet. I really loved that sunny space, those gabled windows and that maple floor. It was bright and cheerful and it always made me happy to be in there… c’est la vie.
This Boden dress deserves a nod because, holy fantastic. It’s a vintage print dream come true. (also it’s on sale right now.)
Have you checked out #thequarterview hashtag on instagram? You should. The pictures are really cool.
Scouting out a new studio space and we are thinking this 100 year old building with it’s exposed brick walls(!) might be the winner… Ava, of course has her fingers in her nose, as anyone does when seriously contemplating a space…
Happy Tuesday!
I love your outfit, and that those walls in that studio are gorgeous.
